Nehemiah 10:29. all these now joined their fellow Israelites the nobles, and bind themselves with a cures and an oath to follow the Law of God…
The people had a mind to work and to keep their oath to walk in obedience with God. Though there are many distractions in life, we must remind ourselves to stay committed to the plan/ vision of God. Not only the people had a mind to work , they had a mind (heart) to give of their resources.
Just as My Jerusalem has a need of our resources which is our time, helping hands, prayers, money , and our heart to rebuild our community. Not only did they give, they gave their best; so whatever God lays on our heart to do at the upcoming My Jerusalem, let’s make sure It’s our very best. Last but not least, it will take a sacrifice to fight the distractions (cares of life) as a reason why not to get involved, but we must remind ourselves as did the people in the book of Nehemiah, we will not forsake or neglect the kingdom of God.
